But if travel is in your future — whether for work or personal reasons, here are some easy tips for staying safe and healthy during your journey.

Self-quarantine for two weeks before and two weeks after embarking on a trip. By isolating two weeks prior, you will know you are healthy enough to travel without spreading COVID-19 during travel and at your travel destination. Upon returning to your residence, self-isolate for two weeks to ensure you didn’t contract the virus during your trip. While the two weeks seem like a long time, it could help prevent the spread of the virus to others.
Fall in love with road trips
If possible, it is best to travel to nearby destinations. If you are traveling for pleasure, you might plan a camping trip where the majority of time will be spent outdoors. Another idea: Rent an RV and hit the road. You can pack groceries and other essentials you’ll need while away.
Check your facts
Before venturing to any destination, make sure to check for travel advisories for each state. Most states have a tourism website where you can access updated information about requirements and protocols for the area.
