After months of staying home, many Americans will be traveling this holiday weekend as they enjoy the final days of summer.
However, since we are still in the middle of a pandemic, there are things you can do to make sure that good memories are the only thing you bring back.
Experts with the Mayo Clinic say if you do travel to another area, it is important to check local requirements and restrictions.
Some states or cities require the use of face masks or require travelers to quarantine for up to 14 days.
If you plan on driving, make as few stops as possible and use disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer when you have to stop and get gas.
You are also urged to bring your own food, but if you stop opt for drive-thru restaurants.
If you decide to fly, try to maintain social distancing and remember that most major airlines require the use of face coverings.
Also there is no need to put your hand sanitizer in your checked bag, the TSA is allowing each traveler to have one container up to 12 ounces in a carry-on bag.
